Job summary

Landshark Recruiting partners with a defense technology company in Falmouth, MA to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Maritime / Undersea Systems). This hands-on role designs and builds maritime hardware, from concept through field testing and iteration.

You will design complex assemblies in CAD, prototype and test, generate build drawings, and own projects on a small, fast-moving team. A BS in ME or Naval Architecture and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering or product design experience.
• Experience designing complex mechanical assemblies and seeing designs built.
• Hands-on prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and design iteration.
• Experience producing drawings and build documentation technicians can work from.
• Comfortable owning responsibilities on a small, fast-moving team.
• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related engineering discipline.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance; active clearance not required.

Responsibilities

• Design complex mechanical systems in CAD and oversee build.
• Prototype, test, and iterate hardware; guide validation efforts.
• Collaborate across teammates to move fast from concept to field testing.
• Produce clear build drawings and manufacturing documents.
