Job summary

Landshark Recruiting partners with a defense technology company in Falmouth, MA to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Maritime / Undersea Systems). This hands-on role designs and builds maritime hardware, from concept through field testing and iteration.

You will design complex assemblies in CAD, prototype and test, generate build drawings, and own projects on a small, fast-moving team. A BS in ME or Naval Architecture and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering or product design experience.
• Experience designing complex mechanical assemblies and seeing designs built.
• Hands-on prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and design iteration.
• Experience producing drawings and build documentation technicians can work from.
• Comfortable owning responsibilities on a small, fast-moving team.
• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related engineering discipline.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance; active clearance not required.

Senior Mechanical Engineer (Maritime / Undersea Systems) | Falmouth, MA | Relocation Assistance Available

I’m partnering with a growing defense technology company in Falmouth, MA looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to help design and build the next generation of maritime and undersea technology.

This is a highly hands‑on role where you’ll design complex mechanical systems in CAD, work closely with the build of your designs, develop and improve prototypes, and test the finished hardware in the field and at sea. The team moves fast, so you’ll stay involved from initial concept through build, testing, and iteration rather than handing your design off to another group.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering or product design experience
• Experience designing complex mechanical assemblies and seeing your designs built
• Hands‑on experience with prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and design iteration
• Experience producing drawings and build documentation technicians can work from
• Comfortable taking ownership and working across responsibilities on a small, fast‑moving team
• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related engineering discipline
• Ability to eventually obtain a U.S. security clearance; active clearance not required

Especially interested in backgrounds involving: maritime, marine, undersea or submerged hardware; UUVs/AUVs/USVs; marine robotics; oceanographic equipment; robotics; drones; additive manufacturing; or other hands‑on physical product development.
