Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Experience with lift/rigging hardware design.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Experience with launch and recovery systems for marine vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical design of lifting, handling, towing, and recovery hardware.
• Design tow points, bridles, cradles, fixtures, and transport equipment.
• Perform load rating, factor of safety, and rigging analysis to codes.
• Design mechanisms and actuated hardware supporting launch and recovery.
• Define interfaces between handling equipment and vehicle structure.
• Produce drawings, tolerance stackups, and specs for hardware.
• Write and validate operating procedures for the hardware.
• Support at-sea and dockside operations, including trials and training.
• Travel up to 25% to test sites and facilities.
