Job summary

Global Edge Group LLC seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Stress Analysis Level 3) for a Space Industry client. You will provide on-site stress analyses and support flight hardware tests as part of the Orion Production Engineering team.

Requirements include FEMAP/NASTRAN proficiency, leadership of junior engineers, and collaboration with Loads & Dynamics and Systems Engineering to verify requirements and resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required.
• Strong experience with FEMAP and NASTRAN for structural analyses.
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers on spacecraft methods.
• US Citizenship is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress and fracture analyses to support Engineering release.
• Coordinate with Loads & Dynamics on environments and verification tasks.
• Lead acceptance tests of composite and metallic structures.
• Generate metrics and status reports for Program Management.
