LeoForce in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Permanent Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design and development of mechanical systems. You will collaborate with design and production teams to ensure efficient production, applying AutoCAD and SolidWorks expertise.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing, a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred), and knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma to optimize processes and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within manufacturing.
• Proven experience with product development, manufacturing processes, AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire team members.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Keen attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Leading the design and development of innovative mechanical systems and products, utilizing AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Overseeing the entire product development process from concept to production within timelines and budget.
• Implementing and improving manufacturing processes to optimize efficiency using lean principles.
• Conducting analyses to ensure compliance with requirements and standards.
• Collaborating with design, production, and QA to ensure successful project execution.
• Applying Six Sigma methodologies to identify defects and improve quality.
• Mentoring junior engineers to support their professional growth.
