Courion, a Vantage Elevation company in St. Louis, MO, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of custom freight elevator systems and components at our manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on mechanical design expertise, strong project leadership, and a track record in a manufacturing environment, with the ability to drive improvements in design, manufacturing efficiency, and product quality.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree required; 8–10 years of progressive mechanical engineering or design experience.
• Experience leading complex engineering projects and managing deliverables through production.
• Strong background in mechanical systems, assemblies, and fabrication processes.

Aufgaben

• Lead the mechanical design and development of custom freight elevator systems, doors, and car enclosures.
• Manage complex engineering projects from concept through manufacturing, installation, and implementation.
• Develop detailed mechanical designs, assemblies, fabrication drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks.
• Perform engineering calculations to ensure functionality, integrity, reliability, and safety.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers, including design reviews and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, quality, and installation teams to deliver cost-effective, manufacturable designs.
• Lead improvements focused on product quality, standardization, cost reduction, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Ensure designs meet safety codes, customer specs, and Courion standards.
• Provide on-site production support and occasional field visits as needed.
