Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design on projects. You will coordinate with multi‑discipline teams and external clients, mentor staff, and manage budgets and manpower with the Project Manager.

Night/weekend work may be required to meet deadlines. The role requires a PE license, ~10 years of experience across healthcare, education, commercial, federal, and light industrial sectors, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Engineer with approximately 10 years of experience.
• Experience should cover healthcare, education, commercial, federal and light industrial sectors.
• Ability to meet and socialize with clients to foster future repeat work.
• Able to work well and communicate with other disciplines within the firm and with other consultants on the project.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design documents in accordance with company standards.
• Advise and mentor staff to aid in growth.
• Monitor project status and ensure deadlines are met.
• Coordinate mechanical design with other disciplines for full coordination.
• Coordinate staffing needs weekly with the Project Manager.
• Assist in interviewing and providing feedback on potential hires.
• Attend and participate in at least 10 hours of company continuing education, including teaching topics of expertise.
• Review mechanical budget hours and coordinate adjustments with the Project Manager.
• Work with the Project Manager to manage manpower and budget on the project.
