Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical design of non-standard customer orders from concept to manufacturing. The role includes providing cost estimates to inform pricing strategies and leading other engineers on complex quotes.

You will visit customers as needed to negotiate technical aspects and support sales teams, while ensuring compliance with ASME codes and manufacturing procedures. Fully onsite in Ocala, FL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years related experience preferred.
• Must be familiar with ASME codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost-effective mechanical designs according to customer specifications for desiccant air dryers, filters, and related equipment.
• Lead other engineering personnel in the design of complex orders and quotes.
• Provide technical support for Sales Representatives and customers on product lines; travel to customer sites as needed.
• Provide guidance to Inside Sales Engineers, Application Engineers and Drafters on mechanical design and cost.
• Support Warranty Service by reviewing designs, analyzing issues, and implementing solutions, including site travel.
