The role requires advanced skills in SolidWorks, GD&T, and manufacturing processes, with focus on producing reliable high-volume solutions for defense and photonics applications.

Qualifications

• Requires a mechanical engineering bachelor's degree and at least six years of relevant experience, a master's degree and four years, or a PhD and one year.
• Candidates should have manufacturing-process experience, strong engineering analysis skills, SolidWorks proficiency, knowledge of machining and engineering drawings, and the ability to apply GD&T.
• Defense, aerospace, laser, optical, and simulation experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs for laser systems and products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define interfaces, system layouts, requirements, and cost objectives.
• Plan and conduct design verification and life testing.
• Oversee prototype procurement and assembly.
