Job summary

Fresenius Kabi in Andover, MA seeks an Engineering Specialist to lead the mechanical design across Infusion product development. You will guide DoE studies, improve designs, and mentor engineers while ensuring high quality, reliable hardware for durable goods.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing, materials, and documentation, while maintaining compliance and strong technical leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 10+ years as a mechanical design engineer on product development teams.
• 5+ years in a regulated environment (Medical, Aerospace, Military).
• Experience designing complex electro-mechanical assemblies in SolidWorks or CAD.
• Experience selecting materials and fabrication methods per requirements.
• Experience using PDM to manage drawings per FDA requirements.
• DFM or New Product Introduction experience.
• System integration challenges: thermal management, machined/injection molded parts, reliabilities.
• Attention to detail and hands-on R&D lab approach.
• Strong task management and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of Infusion products within the hardware team.
• Design complex electro-mechanical mechanisms to meet performance goals.
• Perform DoE to assess new solutions and designs.
• Integrate subsystems into a unified system design.
• Create product housings with sleek ergonomic design.
• Generate GD&T drawings per tolerance stack-up and manufacturing capabilities.
• Lead DFMEA and update designs accordingly.
• Optimize for low cost, high quality, reliability and high-volume assembly.
• Investigate new technologies and best practices.
• Establish engineering documentation standards for the team.
