Barge Design Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Facilities Engineering Solution Center in Nashville or Knoxville, TN. You will lead the design and delivery of complex mechanical systems for industrial facilities and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results.

This role offers technical leadership, mentoring for junior staff, and close partnership with clients to support long-term infrastructure and facility performance.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering design experience, consulting or construction experience preferred.
• Familiarity with piping codes, IBC, and ASME B31.1/B31.3.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring EITs and junior engineers.
• ASME B31.1 and B31.3 familiarity is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Design and guide the mechanical project team to support large industrial facilities.
• Lead the design of mechanical systems including piping, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Manage project documentation and supporting calculations.
• Identify design considerations and help develop engineering solutions.
• Support Project Managers to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Provide technical leadership to staff and act as adviser.
• Lead complex technical portions of client meetings.
• Develop strong relationships with clients, officials, contractors, and others.
