Job summary

Barge Design Solutions in Nashville, TN, is seeking an Electrical Engineer with an emphasis in Instrumentation & Control to design and deliver complex electrical, instrumentation, automation, and control systems for facilities and infrastructure projects.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on water treatment, industrial processes, and data centers, applying PLC/DCS automation, OT concepts, and NEC/standards, while mentoring interns and contributing from design through construction.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Electrical or Control Systems.
Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience; 5–8 years is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with PLC programming software and/or SCADA HMI development is a plus.
Experience using Revit is preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with project team members, client representatives, and review agencies on reports or detailed designs.
Leads technical I&C design portions in a multi-discipline environment.
Designs control systems for facilities projects including water/wastewater and data centers.
Develops electrical control schematics and ladder diagrams for motor starters and drives.
Designs PLC/DCS based automated process control systems.
Applies OT network architecture and cybersecurity standards.
