Divergent is building the next generation of factory automation. This Senior/Staff Mechanical Engineer on the Factory Automation team will own the mechanical design and deployment of adaptive production systems, shaping how Divergent factories rapidly reconfigure for automotive, aerospace, and defense programs.

You will translate operational needs into robust mechanical designs, evaluate tradeoffs, and drive hardware from concept to production with autonomy in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Responsabilités

• Own the mechanical design and development of significant automation systems from concept through deployment.
• Translate manufacturing needs into clear system requirements and interfaces across multiple teams.
• Develop mechanical architectures and detailed designs for complex automation systems using CAD, GD&T, and BOMs.
• Lead cross-functional technical work and communicate decisions, risks, and status clearly.
• Identify risks and drive prototyping, testing, and deployment to resolve issues.
