AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Exton, PA or remotely, to lead and work on various Mechanical and Process Engineering projects in industrial, chemical, biotech, pharmaceutical, and food industries. The role involves leading mechanical engineering activities, working directly with clients to define project requirements, developing engineering documents from Conceptual Design to Construction documents including user requirement specifications, basis of design narratives, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and more. The engineer will apply cGMPs, sanitary and clean design principles, verify system implementation compliance, support project start-up and commissioning, execute projects of varying sizes and complexity, ensure quality of design documents, develop junior engineers, and promote safety and design excellence. Requirements include a BS or higher in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, familiarity with cGMP and regulatory guidelines, experience with piping system specifications, knowledge of IBC, IFC, NFPA, OSHA, industrial ventilation, combustible dust handling, and start-up/commissioning of mechanical/process systems. Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to work on multiple projects are essential. The position may require additional hours and travel to client sites.
