UNOPS Corporate Retainer Pool

We manage a pool of Corporate Retainers for short-term support across our units. Retainer positions are not full-time and involve providing specific outputs on short notice, with varying scope and duration. Assignments may range from hours to months, sometimes requiring international travel. Most work can be performed remotely, but some roles may require presence at HQ or travel.

Job Specific Background

This retainer position is primarily for supporting the Design Review team within IPMG. Responsibilities and specific tasks will be detailed in individual terms of reference for each assignment. Assignments can vary in scope and duration, often ranging from 16 to 32 hours, mainly home-based.

All retainers are invited to participate in an induction session covering UNOPS tools, contract modality, and expertise area.

While this position is under a retainer contract, UNOPS may offer full-time employment on a temporary basis depending on needs.

Responsibilities

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support and review in line with project requirements.

Education

An advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
