Job summary

Piasecki Aircraft Corporation seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead research, planning, design, and testing of advanced mechanical and aerospace systems, serving as the technical lead for Hydrogen Fuel Cell eVTOL and UAS projects.

The role directs systems engineering, design, fabrication, operation, installation, and repair of mechanical products while assisting leadership in advancing hydrogen initiatives.

Qualifications

  • BSME from a four-year college or university required.
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience working in an engineering environment or comparable field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, analysis, and testing efforts for advanced hydrogen propulsion systems and related aerospace structures.
  • Serve as the primary technical lead for current and future R&D and development projects, assisting the Chief of Operations and Chief of Product in executing hydrogen initiatives.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including test plans, vehicle assembly procedures, and system validation processes.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical challenges related to mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain critical engineering deliverables such as designs, technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Perform static stress analyses on aerospace hardware and ground and test support equipment.
  • Coordinate and interface with external research partners and suppliers.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration and compliance with industry standards.
