CDM Smith is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with HVAC and plumbing expertise to advance technical leadership on diverse projects. The role offers a hybrid work environment and opportunities to shape resilient, sustainable building designs.

You will contribute to master planning, energy efficiency, and sustainable design across locations. The position requires a mechanical engineering degree, EIT/FE within 18 months, and at least five years of related experience, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Architectural or Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or FE/PE path within 18 months of hire.
• 5 years of related experience; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing HVAC and plumbing systems including master planning and feasibility studies.
• Reviewing designs for compliance with regulations and firm policies.
• Performing site reviews and updating design requirements as needed.
• Contributing to technical knowledge through papers and design documentation.
• Attending conferences to promote services and collaborate with sales teams.
• Providing mentorship to junior staff and supervising project work.
