CrossFire Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support design, development, and integration of components for heavy-duty vehicles. The role involves hands-on 3D CAD design, engineering analysis, documentation, and production support.

Work arrangement: remote after one week onsite at Oshkosh, WI headquarters; travel about 10%. Candidates should have at least 3 years' experience and a BS in Engineering; Creo or CATIA preferred.

Formación

• Accredited bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Creo or CATIA; other 3D CAD accepted.
• Experience creating drawings and BOMs.
• Ability to travel ~10% and onsite-to-remote transition.
• ITAR U.S. Person eligibility required.

Responsabilidades

• Design and improve mechanical components and assemblies for new and existing vehicles.
• Create and update 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, layouts, specifications, and bills of material.
• Perform engineering calculations and analysis to evaluate performance, safety, reliability, and material selection.
• Support component integration and resolve design, fit, and production issues.
• Prepare and process engineering changes while following drawing standards and configuration procedures.
• Coordinate assigned project activities, maintain documentation, and communicate progress and technical concerns.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, production personnel, and internal and external customers.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, quotations, and presentations.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers, designers, and technicians.

About the Opportunity

We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and integration of components and systems for heavy-duty vehicles. This role combines hands-on 3D CAD design, engineering analysis, technical documentation, and production support. The ideal candidate has experience creating functional, reliable, and cost-effective mechanical designs and supporting product changes through established engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and improve mechanical components and assemblies for new and existing vehicles.
• Create and update 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, layouts, specifications, and bills of material.
• Perform engineering calculations and analysis to evaluate performance, safety, reliability, and material selection.
• Support component integration and resolve design, fit, and production issues.
• Prepare and process engineering changes while following drawing standards and configuration procedures.
• Coordinate assigned project activities, maintain documentation, and communicate progress and technical concerns.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, production personnel, and internal and external customers.

Required Qualifications

• Accredited bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• At least three years of related engineering experience.
• Proficiency with a 3D CAD system; Creo or CATIA preferred, with equivalent platforms considered.
• Experience producing engineering drawings, layouts, and bills of material.
• Experience supporting product changes through established engineering processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Availability to complete one week onsite before transitioning to remote work.
• Ability to travel approximately 10%.
• Must meet the client's ITAR U.S. Person eligibility requirement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Automotive or heavy-duty vehicle component and systems experience.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, component integration, and mechanical design troubleshooting.

Additional Details

Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required based on project needs.
