Job summary

CrossFire Group in Oshkosh, WI is seeking a Mechanical CAD Designer to route hydraulic and pneumatic lines using CATIA and Creo. The role supports 3D modeling, drawing development, BOM management, and engineering change notices for prototype and production builds.

The position is contract, onsite preferred with remote consideration; first week onsite in Oshkosh. Travel up to 25% and roughly 40–45 hours weekly at core hours 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least two years of design experience.
• Hands-on experience routing hydraulic and pneumatic lines.
• Proficiency with CATIA and/or Creo routing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise bills of materials and engineering change notices.
• Use ERP systems to create part numbers and maintain accurate component information.
• Obtain technical information from internal teams and suppliers.
• Check drawings for accuracy, dimensions, tolerances, and compliance with CAD standards.
• Provide technical support for prototype, pilot, and production builds.
• Investigate design and build issues in collaboration with engineering teams.

Mechanical CAD Designer – Hydraulic & Pneumatic Routing

Location: Oshkosh, WI Pay Rate: $45.36 per hour Employment Type: Contract only Duration: Nine months, with possible extension Schedule: Core hours 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; approximately 40–45 hours per week Work Arrangement: Onsite preferred. • Proficiency with CATIA and/or Creo, including routing capabilities.


• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


• Effective written and verbal communication skills.


• Availability for occasional evening or weekend work as project needs require.


• Willingness to travel up to 25%.


• Ability to meet the client’s stated U.S. Person eligibility requirements; dual citizenship is subject to client review.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six or more years of design experience.


• Experience or training in GD&T.


• Experience creating bills of materials, engineering change notices, and ERP part records.


• Experience supporting mechanical assemblies, weldments, or vehicle systems.


• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and email tools.


• Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
