Job summary

Zeiss is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and analyze electro-opto-mechanical components and systems, including packaging. You will lead cross-functional teams to ensure robust thermo-mechanical performance and drive system-level requirements from concept to production release.

The role requires extensive experience in stress/strain and thermal analysis, GD&T, and 3D CAD (SolidWorks). Strong project management and vendor collaboration are essential, with eligibility for performance

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 yrs. Engineering/System development experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, or 7 yrs. with Master’s, or PhD with 5 yrs. of experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs and analyzes electro-opto-mechanical components, modules or systems and packaging.
• Provides system modelling/analysis including stress/strain, tolerance stack-up, kinematic analysis/synthesis, thermal analysis and/or FEA.
• Generates mechanical system level requirements and oversees sub-system and component level requirements generation.
