Job summary

Blue Signal Search is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for an on-site role in Braselton, GA (Greater Atlanta Area). You will own mechanical design from concept through fabrication and test, interacting closely with manufacturing and suppliers to drive cost-effective, reliable equipment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, hands-on experience with custom industrial machinery, and strong SolidWorks skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience designing custom or engineer-to-order industrial machinery.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks for part modeling and assemblies.
• Ability to create and revise engineering drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical design work from concept to fabrication release.
• Build and revise SolidWorks models for machinery and tooling.
• Create production drawings for machined, fabricated, welded components.
• Develop and maintain BOMs and revision records.
• Collaborate with machinists, fabricators, welders, and assemblers.
• Evaluate design decisions for cost, lead times, fabrication effort, and performance.
• Coordinate with purchasing and suppliers on technical requirements.
• Support engineering changes and troubleshooting during build and test.
• Keep mechanical deliverables organized and aligned with manufacturing priorities.
