Job summary

Dig Energy, Inc. seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to own core mechanical design, electro-mechanical packaging, and product development for geothermal installation systems.

The role is hands-on, with emphasis on fast execution, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering robust fabrication processes in a startup setting. Ideal candidates bring 5–15 years of mechanical engineering experience, SolidWorks proficiency, and familiarity with DFMEA/CFD/FEA.

Qualifications

• 5-15 years hands-on mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced, execution-oriented early stage startup.
• Resourceful and highly collaborative team player who can work with a fast pace and cross-functional teams.
• Thorough understanding of mechanical systems engineering principles and concepts.
• Fluent using CAD systems such as SolidWorks; strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Concept development and down selection of mechanical systems.
• Detailed design and validation of components and sub-modules.
• System level analysis and testing to refine designs.
• DFM work to establish robust fabrication and assembly procedures.
• Create 2D part drawings, assemblies and schematics for manufacturing.
