Job summary

Axens North America seeks a Mechanical Engineer in Houston, TX. The role leads the mechanical engineering team on fired heaters, boilers, and steam methane reformers, coordinating with Process, Instrumentation and Structural teams.

You will perform calculations, review vendor drawings, and develop assembly procedures while ensuring compliance with client specifications and project requirements. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design with Process, Instrumentation and Structural engineering.
• Review vendor offers, drawings and calculations.
• Prepare or review technical requisitions and weight estimates.
• Establish assembly sequences and procedures; participate in constructability reviews.
• Support proposal activities with pressure part and tube support calculations.
• Ensure compliance with laws, codes, specifications and contract requirements.
• Interact with Project Managers, Engineers, Vendors and Clients to achieve goals.
• Travel to shop or jobsite up to 10%.
