Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support FAA Enroute Engineering Center in El Segundo, CA. You will provide mechanical engineering SME support, manage projects, and oversee HVAC/ventilation and direct digital control systems.

The role requires 4+ years of mechanical engineering experience, strong project management, and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance. Onsite with occasional telework possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering with 4+ years (Bachelor) or 2+ years (Master) of relevant experience.
• Experience with HVAC systems, heat load calculations, and building mechanical design.
• Experience with CADD/design drawings including schematic, development and final construction drawings.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust Security Clearance (U.S. citizen or Green Card holder).

Responsibilities

• Provide lifecycle project management for building mechanical systems projects.
• Oversee HVAC design, installation, and energy compliance calculations.
• Review drawings, perform observations, and advise on improvements.
• Prepare and manage design packages, risk assessments, and project schedules.
