Job summary

Elkington Motors in Provo, UT is seeking a mechanical design owner to shape the physical DNA of our EVs. You will move from CAD screens to bolted-on reality, handling motor mounts, battery enclosures, and chassis integration.

You will prototype with mills, lathes, 3D printers, and welders, perform tests, diagnose issues, and iterate until performance targets are met. Immediate start, on-site heavy work, and a startup attitude required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6+ years of full-time mechanical design experience in relevant sectors.
• Advanced CAD proficiency required.
• Hands-on fabrication and welding skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate structural components for EV systems.
• Prototype, assemble, and test parts from CAD to final fit.
• Validate performance via vibration, thermal, and ingress tests.
• Troubleshoot failures and iterate toward targets.
