$125,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr

Senior Mechanical Engineer Role Overview
A local, top-performing manufacturer with over 60 years in the industry is seeking a talented, innovative Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This Senior Mechanical Engineer will perform analysis of high-reliability electro-mechanical packaging for precision RF electronics, ranging from small units to complex multi-unit systems for both commercial and aerospace (Hi-Reliability) applications.

Senior Mechanical Engineer Educational And Required Skills

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to resolve design and manufacturing challenges
• Familiarity with military specifications (MIL-STD-810 and -880) for board- and box-level products (preferred)
• Proficiency in 3D mechanical design software, with preference for AutoCAD REV 2022, AutoCAD Inventor 2022, and Autodesk Vault

Senior Mechanical Engineer Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field
• Strong knowledge of shock and vibration testing
• 3-5 years of relevant experience (preferred)
• Experience with ANSYS V11 and Inventor Autodesk 2010 (preferred)
• Ability to design with consideration for engineering, customer, and manufacturing requirements
• Understanding of hardware production constraints, including manufacturing tools and weight vs. strength trade-offs

Senior Mechanical Engineer Drafting and Design Expectations

• Perform drafting, dimensioning, and tolerance analysis independently
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) (preferred)
