Job summary

Light & Wonder's Gaming division seeks a Senior Advanced Mechanical Engineer to drive the design of electro-mechanical assemblies for casino gaming products, concentrating on sheet metal, die-castings, and injection‑molded parts.

You will create 3D CAD models (SolidWorks preferred), develop BOMs and release documentation, evaluate prototypes, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of theory, principles, and procedures of Mechanical Engineering.
  • Leadership skills and ability to guide others.
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD systems, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with Bill of Materials and manufacturing processes; drafting experience or training required.
  • Knowledge of ECO release process using Agile or other equivalent PLM application.
  • Familiarity with basic shop equipment and hand tools used in assembly of prototypes.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Designs electro-mechanical assemblies, parts, and systems for L&W gaming products.
  • Creates parts and assemblies using 3D CAD software; weighs function, cost, serviceability and manufacturability.
  • Understands diecast and injection molded parts design and tooling processes.
  • Creates mechanical drawings, BOMs, assembly procedures and release documentation.
  • Evaluates prototype products and designs for refinement through assembly and test.
  • Initiates and maintains contact with key engineers and officials across divisions; negotiates on critical issues.
  • Applies creativity and engineering judgment to objectives and project organization.
  • May mentor or lead lower-level engineers, designers, and technicians.
  • Demonstrates effective and efficient leadership skills.
