Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support NSWC Crane, performing design, calculations, outfitting design, and drawing tasks for naval systems.

You will generate CAD drawings and solid models, detail machinery arrangements, and prepare documentation while collaborating with engineers and project managers. Travel up to 10% is expected; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance required or in process.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Ability to write clear reports and specifications.
• Experience interfacing with team members and managers.
• Experience with US Navy and/or US commercial ship design standards.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and ability to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering services support including spec writing, design, calculations and outfitting design.
• Generate mechanical drawings for systems, machinery spaces and assemblies.
• Draft detailed multi-view drawings from sketches and CAD layouts.
• Learn drafting standards and SRD updates and support cost estimates and ship checks.
