Job summary

Roche Tissue Diagnostics is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design concept generation and mechanical system optimization for complex projects. You will bridge conceptual design and manufacturing while mentoring peers across multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and 8+ years of related experience, strong DOE expertise, reliability testing skills, and a proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of directly related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 4 years with a Master’s; 2 years with a Ph.D.
• DOE knowledge and reliability testing experience.
• Strong collaboration and mentoring skills.
• Ability to lead design reviews and cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead design concept generation for complex products and components.
• Design and validate experiments using DOE methods.
• Identify root causes and implement robust engineering solutions.
