Job summary

Manpower San Diego is seeking a design-focused Mechanical Engineer to develop fixtures and sub-systems and improve test platforms. This hands-on role requires driving full development cycle: gathering input, analyzing problems, creating concepts, detailed designs and GD&T drawings, sourcing components, prototyping, testing, and translating results into actionable recommendations.

The ideal candidate moves quickly from observation to engineering solutions across multiple concurrent projects,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related mechanical engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop fixtures and sub-systems for test platforms.
• Lead full development cycle from concept to design and testing.
• Create and refine GD&T drawings.
• Source components and build prototypes.
• Translate test results into actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
