Job summary

gpac LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design and planning across multiple large, complex projects in the St. Louis area, ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, and standards.

The role covers system design for mechanical and plumbing/piping systems, equipment sizing, and development of operation sequences, with oversight of load calculations and document integrity from preconstruction through post-construction closeout. Occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of design engineering experience.
• PE license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Engineering.
• Occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and planning for large, complex projects.
• Lead internal commissioning and coordinate with Operations early in design.
• Design mechanical and plumbing/piping systems; select equipment and write specifications.
• Perform load calculations and code compliance checks.
• Maintain project files and release packages for coordination.
• Conduct field walk-throughs and manage as-built changes.
