Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Associate, Mechanical Engineering in Carlsbad, CA to design, develop, and qualify mechanical systems within a collaborative team. The role focuses on 3D modeling, hardware design, documentation, analysis, integration, and testing.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team on aerospace/defense modules, lead design reviews, and ensure hardware is producible and testable. A DoD clearance may be required; travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of related experience; graduate degree or equivalent with 0–2 years; in lieu of a degree, 6+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and qualify mechanical systems.
• Create 3D models and design documentation to meet specs.
• Perform stress, thermal, and vibration analyses using FEA tools.
• Develop test plans and procedures for subsystems and assemblies.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and quality to ensure producibility.
