Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Carlsbad, CA seeks a Mechanical Engineer Specialist to design, develop, and qualify mechanical systems within a multidisciplinary team. You will do 3D modeling, hardware design documentation, analysis, integration and testing, and travel less than 30 days per year.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience (or graduate degree with 2+ years) and the ability to obtain US Secret security clearance; familiarity with NX and aerospace/defense packaging

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience; or graduate degree with 2+ years.
• Must be able to obtain US Secret Security clearance.
• Experience with NX, electronics packaging, and mechanical design for aerospace/defense.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and qualify mechanical systems.

• Prototype, integrate, and test components.
• Perform stress, thermal, and vibration analysis.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and quality for producibility.
