Job summary

Raytheon is seeking an Onsite Mechanical Design Engineer in Tucson, Arizona, responsible for mechanical design pertaining to military programs. You will apply strong mechanical design skills to develop technical solutions, lead teams, and ensure project requirements are met.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in STEM with significant experience in electronics packaging and GD&T. Candidates must be eligible for U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 5 years of experience.
• Experience with design of electronics packaging for military, aerospace, or commercial applications.
• Ability to obtain U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Utilize strong mechanical hardware design experience with ruggedized structures.
• Support phases of programs from capture and concept development through production.
• Develop technical solutions for complex problems across product life cycle.
• Supervise definitions of mechanical outline and construction details.
• Lead a small team of mechanical engineers when required.
