Job summary

Meade, a full-service design firm in the United States, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a Professional Engineer license to join our design team. You will lead mechanical and plumbing system design for data centers and other high-profile projects, oversee production of drawings, and coordinate with vendors and cross-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional Mechanical Engineering design experience designing mechanical systems for data centers or mission-critical projects.
• Valid Mechanical P.E. license and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Engineering in Training acceptable).
• Experience leading projects and mentoring junior staff.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and energy codes.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Independently drive projects forward throughout design and construction phases.
• Design mechanical and plumbing systems for data centers.
• Oversee the production of all mechanical designs, systems and drawings.
• Work amongst a cross-discipline design team, owners, and contractors to develop drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with external vendors, internal design teams and manufacturers.
• Major equipment selection and scheduling.
