Job summary

kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP company, located in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design complex power and building systems including generator plants, MV distribution, UPS, lighting, fire alarm, and grounding.

You will lead electrical design for complex projects, mentor junior engineers, collaborate with multi-discipline teams, attend client meetings, and coordinate with vendors and owners to deliver dependable critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for buildings including lighting, receptacle, general, essential, and critical electrical infrastructure.
• Lead the electrical design of complex projects.
• Develop drawings and specifications for issuance to architects, contractors and building owners.
• Attend client meetings and contribute to discussions.
• Lead and mentor entry-level and junior engineers.
• Coordinate with internal project discipline team members, equipment vendors, and manufacturers.
• Prepare short circuit, coordination and arc flash calculations.
• Perform construction administration tasks.
• Survey and evaluate existing conditions.
