Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (MHIA) seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer-Data Center Liquid Cooling Systems for a hybrid role based in Plano, TX and Ashburn, VA.

You will lead CDU mechanical design, engage with hyperscalers, coordinate with suppliers, and drive scalable, reliable cooling solutions from concept through lifecycle support. The ideal candidate has 12+ years in mechanical design with 7+ years in supplier-facing leadership for industrial equipment such as pumps, heat

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of experience with at least 7 years in mechanical system design and supplier-facing technical leadership for industrial or packaged equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications (P&IDs, GA, schematics).
• Experience across design, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and service organizations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority for CDU mechanical system design including pumps, heat exchangers, piping, valves and skid/enclosure integration.
• Lead product design activities from concept to mass production with manufacturability and serviceability in mind.
• Interface with customers to translate requirements into clear design inputs and specifications.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure design maturity, quality, and delivery readiness.
• Support service offerings, manuals, and SLA definitions.
