Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design and development of data center mechanical systems, including HVAC, advanced cooling, and fire protection. You will perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimize energy efficiency and reliability on mission-critical sites.

Collaborating with electrical, IT, and project teams, you will prepare technical specs, reports, and documentation, support long-term maintenance plans, and travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering for data centers.
• PE License or willingness to obtain.
• Proven expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection within data centers.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse teams.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of mechanical systems for data centers (HVAC, cooling, fire protection).
• Collaborate with electrical, IT, and project managers across functions.
• Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimize energy efficiency and performance.
