Job summary

fairlife, LLC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in a fast‑paced dairy processing environment to optimize plant machine reliability and performance. You will collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations to plan preventative maintenance and coordinate new system start‑ups with external contractors.

You will lead design of experiments, update critical machine documentation, source parts, and drive capital projects with a focus on reducing downtime and improving MTBF/MTTR while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or another related field.
• High speed manufacturing, dairy processing, and packaging experience.
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt accreditation a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOE to redesign systems creating chronic issues and develop sustainable solutions.
• Maintain and update documentation for machine centers (Schematics, manuals, PID).
• Source parts through schematics and manuals; manage spare parts.
• Create work orders and PMs through D365; schedule scope of work.
• Coordinate and facilitate scheduling of overhauls and downtime repairs.
• Drive process improvements; present to Engineering Department.
• Launch large capital projects from design to ownership; minimize downtime.
• Drive MTBF/MTTR improvements and apply Lean, GMP, and 5S.
