fairlife, LLC is seeking a Sr. Utilities & Mechanical Engineer to oversee utility streams across multiple sites, leading design through construction and commissioning for capital projects. You will ensure reliable capacity and compliant operations while driving efficiency and sustainability.

The role requires strong technical leadership, project management, and collaboration with the Technical Team and Environmental groups. Occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical or chemical) with dairy/food processing experience preferred.
• 5+ years in utilities design, operations and construction for milk/beverage/chemical processing.
• Experience with design, construction, commissioning and troubleshooting of utilities.
• Proven ability to redesign and automate manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in data analysis and process modeling with Excel; familiarity with Aspen/SuperPro is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop predictive demand and load management tools for utility systems across multiple plants.
• Define standards for plant utilities design, automation, construction, and operation.
• Document and communicate basis of design to key stakeholders.
• Support procurement of utilities and participate in vendor selection and budgeting.
• Lead construction, commissioning, validation, FAT/SAT protocols, and training materials.
• Collaborate with Environmental teams to advance sustainability goals.
• Oversee mechanical and utility design with proper documentation and compliance.
• Address complex utility issues and drive timely resolution across sites.
