Job summary

PAR Systems UK Ltd is seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers at multiple levels to design and build custom mechanical and automation systems for critical handling, cranes, and large fabricated structures. You will translate requirements, create 3D models in SolidWorks, perform analyses, and collaborate across controls, electrical, software, project management, and manufacturing teams.

Travel is typically under 10%, up to 25% as projects require.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Experience with cranes, lifting equipment, large fabrication, or heavy machinery.
• Strong fundamentals and ability to apply calculations and analyses.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD; SolidWorks preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as project needs require.
• U.S. Person.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer and system requirements into mechanical concepts, designs, and technical approaches.
• Develop 3D models, drawings, specifications, and calculations for mechanical systems and assemblies.
• Evaluate loads, stresses, deflection, fatigue, and other design requirements.
• Design for manufacturability, reliability, safety, and maintainability while balancing cost and schedule.
• Identify risks, resolve design and integration issues, and support fabrication and commissioning.
• Lead design reviews, testing, installation, and site acceptance testing as appropriate.
• Collaborate with controls, electrical, software, project management, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
• Support proposals with concept development and technical estimates.
