Job summary

PAR Systems designs and builds custom mechanical and automation systems across nuclear, aerospace, defense, and advanced manufacturing sectors. This Mechanical Engineer role spans concept through design, fabrication, assembly, testing, and commissioning, with leadership opportunities based on experience.

You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams and support projects from proposal through site commissioning. Ideal candidates bring a BS in Mechanical Engineering, proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
Experience with cranes, lifting equipment, large fabrication, or similar systems.
Proficiency with 3D CAD and drawings; SolidWorks preferred.
Ability to interpret specifications and apply relevant codes/standards; travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Translate customer and system requirements into mechanical concepts and designs.
Develop 3D models, drawings, specifications, and calculations for mechanical systems.
Evaluate loads, stresses, deflection, fatigue, motion, power transmission, and other design criteria.
Design for manufacturability, reliability, safety, maintainability, cost, and schedule.
Support fabrication, assembly, testing, and site commissioning; resolve issues.
