Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Boston, MA, specializing in Critical Facilities. The role focuses on design development, system layouts, and coordination across disciplines within a global engineering practice.

The candidate will lead design efforts, supervise junior engineers, and contribute to project delivery from concept through construction, leveraging CAD/REVIT proficiency and a strong consulting background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• 8+ years’ experience in a consulting firm; senior level role in MEP engineering.
• 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Hands-on design experience using CAD/REVIT is required.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Firm in interactions with clients, contractors, and project team members.
• Create basic designs under direction of senior engineers/designers; develop specifications and system layouts.
• Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects.
• Supervise preparation of reports and analysis of system options and building conditions.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary work with other trades and consultants.
• Monitor correspondence between staff, clients, contractors, owners, etc.
• Supervise field-related duties such as RFIs, bulletins, and addenda.
