Location: Paducah, KY. This is a full-time, onsite position. Remote option is unavailable.

CMTA is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in Consulting Engineering. This position will work with a team of engineers to design the mechanical aspects of energy-efficient buildings for various clients. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, client-oriented, and technically skilled. They will be involved in all project phases.

Desired Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience as a mechanical engineer
  • EIT or PE Certification
  • Project Management experience
  • Client interfacing skills
  • Experience with cooling and heating plants
  • MEP Design expertise
  • Proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD

The role involves managing projects, designing heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and plumbing systems for buildings, and supporting bidding and construction processes. Responsibilities include:

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer responses
  • Attending meetings with owners, clients, or architects as needed
  • Guiding staff engineers on energy-efficient design implementation
  • Reviewing contractor submittals for conformance
  • Applying standard engineering techniques and procedures
  • Collaborating with other engineers and personnel to resolve system issues
  • Evaluating customer design proposals and specifications
  • Specifying system components and modifications
  • Researching and designing mechanical products and systems
  • Providing feedback on customer problems and needs
