Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, build and operate critical cleanroom systems supporting 5nm+ fabrication.

Responsibilities include exhaust, scrubbing, oxidizers, and utilities design, plus data analysis and collaboration with project teams. On-site work in Phoenix focuses on reliability, safety, and efficiency within a leading-edge semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, and one year of experience in an engineering role.
• Alternatively,Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, and three years of experience in an engineering role.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate general exhaust units, wet scrubbing unit, thermal oxidizer units, and local process air abatement units.
• Work with design or project management organizations on large-scale designs and projects.
• Conduct construction administration and site observations.
• Run daily system operation and operation data analysis.
• Monitor and manage utilities distribution, including power, steam, natural gas, water, compressed gases, instrumentation and control.
• Provide routine system preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
