Job summary

TSMC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for its Phoenix, AZ facility to design, build, and operate ultra-cleanroom environments supporting 5nm and beyond manufacturing. You will manage HVAC, water chillers, cooling towers, and rotating equipment while ensuring reliability and process integration.

The role involves coordinating with project teams, site observations, and daily data analysis to optimize system performance. On-site in Phoenix with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 1 year of engineering experience required (Masters) or 3 years (Bachelor).
• Experience with design, build and operation of cleanroom utilities and process equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate cleanroom systems for ultra-clean fab production.
• Manage air flow, temperature, humidity, and gas/water utilities.
• Oversee general exhaust, scrubbing, thermal oxidizers, and process air abatement.
• Coordinate with design or project management on large-scale projects.
• Perform construction administration and site observations.
• Run daily system operation data analyses and maintenance.
