Chemours in Louisville, KY is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership for chemical process manufacturing and maintain a strong focus on equipment reliability and maintenance strategy.

You will work with the Manufacturing Technology Manager, lead small capital projects, and drive improvements across production processes while applying PSM principles and maintaining a hands-on, collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 6–12 years in industry supporting chemical manufacturing, steam/power generation, or military equivalent.
• Strong root-cause failure analysis skills essential.
• Strong collaborative and leadership abilities with a hands-on attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on mechanical engineering for chemical process manufacturing.
• Identify and drive improvements in equipment maintenance strategies and practices.
• Monitor product and process performances; assess reliability and propose fixes.
• Specify and document technology parameters to meet quality requirements.
• Serve as technical lead for area assignments and guide strategic decisions.
• Own small capital projects for the site and manage process improvements.
• Apply process safety management (PSM) knowledge to team activities.
