Job summary

Atec Inc in the United States is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead design, analysis, testing, and installation of aerostructural systems. You will review SOWs, prepare layouts, and coordinate fabrication while ensuring compliance with AS9100/ISO standards.

The role requires expertise in SolidWorks, ANSYS, CFD, MATLAB, and MS Office, plus mentoring junior engineers and developing proposals. Expect extended hours or travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• 8+ years of related experience and/or training.
• Experience with AS9100/ISO quality standards and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Takes a lead engineering role across design, analysis, testing, and installation.
• Review SOWs, specs, and manuals to ensure requirements are met or exceeded.
• Design components for mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems.
• Prepare detailed layouts, drawings, and schematics.
• Perform analyses using FEA, CFD, hand calculations, and other methods.
• Coordinate fabrication and installation to meet standards and customer specs.
• Mentor and train junior engineers; review their designs and analyses.
• Develop quotes and technical proposals; stay within budgets and schedules.
• Utilize SolidWorks, ANSYS/CFD tools, MATLAB, and MS Office in daily tasks.
