Job summary

Atec, Inc is seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, analysis, testing, and installation of mechanical or electromechanical systems. You will review SOWs, translate requirements into robust designs, and mentor junior engineers.

You will apply SolidWorks, FEA, and CFD to optimize performance, while coordinating fabrication, testing, and documentation in AS9100/ISO environments. Strong MATLAB and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology with 8+ years of related experience.
• Extensive experience with 3-D CAD (SolidWorks), FEA (ANSYS/SolidWorks Simulation), and CFD (ANSYS CFX/FLUENT or SolidWorks Flow Simulation).
• Proficiency in MATLAB and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering role across design, analysis, testing, and hardware/system installation.
• Review SOWs, specs, and manuals to ensure requirements are met for new product design and modifications.
• Design mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer system components and layouts.
• Perform FEA, CFD, and hand calculations to analyze components and systems.
• Coordinate fabrication, testing, and documentation in AS9100/ISO environments.
