Senior Mechanical Engineer / Pyro Product Specialist – Cement & Heavy EquipmentLocationAllentown, PAJob description to pasteFuller Technologies is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to serve as a senior technical specialist for rotary kilns and other Pyro equipment used in the cement and heavy industrial industries.This role is part of our Global Service Engineering team and combines mechanical design, field troubleshooting, aftermarket/retrofit engineering, and technical customer support. The Product Specialist will provide technical ownership of mechanical solutions for existing equipment, including upgrades, rebuilds, modernization projects, and product improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide senior-level mechanical engineering support for rotary kilns and other Pyro/heavy process equipmentDevelop engineered solutions for aftermarket upgrades, retrofits, rebuilds, and equipment modificationsTroubleshoot mechanical equipment issues and recommend corrective solutionsCreate, review, and approve 3D models and 2D mechanical drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCADPerform and review mechanical calculations and equipment design documentationSupport technical proposals and collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, Manufacturing, and customersReview customer specifications and existing equipment conditions to determine appropriate technical solutionsSupport equipment installation, commissioning, inspections, and troubleshooting at customer sitesDrive product improvements, standardization, value engineering, and continuous improvementProvide technical guidance to other engineers and cross-functional teamsTravel to customer sites as needed, approximately 30 days per yearWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering disciplineStrong experience with mechanical design of heavy industrial equipmentProficiency with SolidWorks and/or AutoCADExperience creating/reviewing mechanical drawings, equipment designs, and engineering calculationsExperience with aftermarket equipment, retrofits, rebuilds, upgrades, or modernization projectsPractical field/site experience troubleshooting, inspecting, installing, or commissioning industrial equipmentStrong technical problem-solving and customer communication skillsAbility to work independently as a senior technical resourceHighly PreferredCement industry experienceExperience with rotary kilns, industrial furnaces, rotary dryers, coolers, preheaters, combustion systems, or similar large rotating/process equipmentExperience supporting mining, minerals processing, bulk material handling, or other heavy industrial equipmentOEM or engineered-to-order equipment experienceYou should be proficient in:Bachelor's DegreeCAD SoftwareMechanical Design & Engineering3D modelingautocadbulk material handlingcementheavy industrial equipmentproduct engineeringSolidWorksrotary kilnMachines & technologies you'll use:CAD Software (AutoCAD, Solidworks)
